"My friend likes you,"

.... Said one of the PTs in IOI Mall, refering to her friend who is currently a regular in my Thursday BA class. Dun really know what she meant by that... whether she likes attending my class or she likes me as a person.

O well, since gf got a her new stud in her life, I guess it won't hurt to have an admirer in my class...

Weekend in Penang

Just launched BODYCOMBAT 32 by myself in Island Plaza...

1 week after Miracle, this weekend is Island Plaza's turn to do the launch. So yesterday morning, 2 cars left KL in the morning for the pearl of the orient. Apart from BODYPUMP head teacher Sue Prosser, all the other 6 programme head teachers are all here.

Lynn & I were the first to leave KL(Lynn's car) while Leo drove with Riyo & Jeremy as her passgengers. We reached Penang around 2pm and Lynn went straight to Queensbay to pay for her Penang Bridge Run on Sunday. By the time everything was settled, we had lunch after 4, luckily we still got to each Pg Rd Laksa & I again went for the underdog cendol.

The rest of the team are staying near Island Plaza but I'm at home, of course. So far didn't each much yet. Any trip home would not be complete without a visit to Batu Ferringhi to support our "local entrepreneurs."

Honestly, how do your compete with Penang's RM4 per piece offer?

Who am I?

Got a bit bored and don't feel like blogging much. Instead, played with a couple of blogthings....

You Are a Drama Princess (or Prince)
You're not over the top dramatic, but you have your moments. You know how to steal the spotlight...And how to act out to get your way.
People around you know that you're good for a laugh. But at times, your drama gets a bit too much for everyone.Tone it down a tad, and you'll still be the center of attention.

Can't really agree.... I thought I'm a drama king!

You Are A Realistic Romantic

It's easy for you to get swept away by romance...
But you've done a pretty good job keeping perspective.
You're still taken in by love poems and sunsets
You just don't fall for every dreamy pick up line!

This one I think it's true of me.... have to check with gf just to be sure.

You Have Your Sarcastic Moments

While you're not sarcastic at all times, you definitely have a cynical edge.
In your opinion, not all people are annoying. Some are dead!
And although you do have your genuine moments, you can't help getting your zingers in.
Some people might be a little hurt by your sarcasm, but it's more likely they think you're hilarious.

Yeah, I am....

You Are 76% Ready for Marriage

You are almost ready for marriage, and you could be ready to be engaged.
You're still figuring out the details of your ideal relationship!

Oooh....

You Are Straight

There's not much queer about you.
So let's just say you're straight... but not narrow.

Phew....

You Communicate Like a Woman

You empathize, talk things out, and express your emotions freely.
You're a good listener, and you're non-judgmental with your advice.
Communication is how you connect with people.
You're always up for a long talk, no matter how difficult the subject matter is.

This can't be good....

Miracle 2007 BODYCOMBAT Launch

Yesterday we just launched BODYATTACK®, BODYCOMBAT® & BODYJAM® at Miracle 2007 in Cineleisure Lower Ground. It was also a fund raising effort for The Heart Foundation of Malaysia & The Bravehearts K9 Spinal Cord support group. And to make things more fun, there were Miracle team challengers competiting in each programme.

Since my concern is BODYCOMBAT®, I only took pictures of BODYCOMBAT® launch (or rather, I asked Eugene to take pictures since I was on stage). Fatboy was there for the workout while Bernard and Shanti were just there to watch.

The instructors in the launch were(alphabatical order): Crystal, FCI, Peggy, Renee, Shades, Terence. Did anyone come to see FCI? Well, it's kinda hard to miss him...

The launch started with Renee leading track 1 & 2, before the first team Genesis - led by Michelle - took over. Then it was my turn with track 4.

kata

let it fly!

It wasn't the best of my performance no thanks to the slippery stage. Right in track 1 I'd already slipped a couple of times so psychologically I was distracted in track 4. Half of the time I was just thinking, "Be careful.... you dun wanna do a big evasive side-kick and then slip!" Everything I had wanted to say just went out the window...

Track 5 was taught by Terence. The track is a circle track but because the workout area was kind of long, we changed it into a split track. It was kinda funny watching him running up and down doing the sprint.

Lesley's Street Rebel taught track 6 and Jason's Diablo completed the challenge with track 7. Crystal came back to teach track 8 and FCI wrapped up the launch with the last 2 tracks.

Your launch team

We stayed on till 9pm when the results were announced. The BODYCOMBAT® team challenge was won by Diablo, followed by Genesis and Street Rebels.

It was a long day for all of us. Glad everything went well, and nobody slipped on stage like Miss USA did during the recent Miss Universe contest.

Watch out for MIRACLE 2008!!!

Weekend happenings

Sunday was OCD's birthday, so the night before gf & I decided to surprise him with a birthday cake.

I'm sure he's happy that we actually got him a cake, better than last year where I treated him dinner at this restaurant while watching the first match of World Cup 2006. Anyhow, we ended up eating at the same restaurant again (he's footing the bill) before we went back to do the usual cake cutting ceremony.

Gf was supposed to be working on Sunday so I decided to help Eric out by covering FCI's(not my FCI but other ppl's FCI-lah) 245pm class in Leisure Mall. Saw a slim-down Bernard there and I apologize to him that he had to settle for me that day.

"Never mind.... at least the class won't be packed," and "No wonder today so easy to find car park..." were some of the replies I got from him. Smart alec, wish I could slap him. Shanti was present too.

Anyhow, I'm pleased that after dropping the class to FCI, there are members who still remember me. Overall, it was quite a packed class, maybe they didn't know FCI wasn't teaching.

Ai yo yo Samy!

Yesterday I was watching the 8am Mandarin news and there was a report on the SMART toll collection. Then they showed a video of our beloved Works Minister saying something stupid on the toll rate:

"I cannot guarantee that the toll will be REASONABLE...."

Excuse me, YB... so you mean that it is possible that the rate will be UNREASONABLE? Well, I could've misheard what he said, so I checked the newspapers this morning. Confirmed that he actually used the word "REASONABLE"...

YB, I think the pharse you should've used was " NOT CHEAP". We understand a lot of money was spent on building the SILLY SMART tunnels so the toll will probably be not cheap but it should be reasonable. If the toll is not reasonable, who, in his/her right mind, is gonna use it?

YB, I believe that if you didn't make it as a politician, you could've been a very successful stand-up comedian....

Quotes

There are a few movie dialogues that have made an impression in me. Below are a few that I've remembered for the mvies, with a few of my very own real-life experiences in between. See if you can tell which is which:

Girl: You had me at "hello".

Girl: How to you write women to so well?
Guy: I think of a man, and take away reason and accountability.

Guy: I don't want to lose you....
Girl: You already have...

Girl: I love him for the man he wants to be. And I love him for the man he almost is.

Girl: What do you like about me?
Guy: Everything.... the way you smile with the dimples...

Girl: If you had a daughter, would you entrust her with someone like you?

Guy: Yeah... I uh... I hurt her. I don't know what to do...
Aunt: You start by doing the hardest thing, you forgive yourself. I believe in you. You're a good person, and I know you'll find a way to put it right.

Girl: You're always saying that we have to fight to save a marriage and not give in, right?
Guy: Yes...
Girl: Do you really believe that?
Guy: Yes, I do... Very much.
(pause)
Why?
Girl: Well.... Do you want to fight?
