Don't do drugs and alcohol

This is a follow up on WWE Superstar Eddie Guerrero's passing. Even though he had been clean for years, the past sort of caught up with him- he passed away due to heart failure brought on by past drug and alcohol abuse.

You can read more of his widow Vicki Guerrero's comment here.

Last night on Astro Channel 80, there was an beautiful Raw tribute show for Eddie. Batista talked about sharing his problems with Eddie, and how Eddie encouraged him with Bible verses. Rey Mysterio spoke of the closeness of their families. Stephanie McMahon remembered her first meeting with him and noticed how humble he was while Shawn Michaels talked about their common faith as born again christians. It was definitely a very emotionally-charged Raw, a night where tough-looking wrestlers wept openly for a dear friend.

If you are interested, I think you can catch the repeat tonight or Sat- please check your guide. Otherwise, there will be a Smackdown! tribute too but it will only be aired on TV3 on a later date.

Like it or not, there's a price to pay for doing drugs, alcohol... even smoking. Life is too short to abuse it. If you love your family and cherish your life, please stay as far as possible away from them. Not to forget, regular exercise and sensible eating will help you live longer too.

In memory of Eddie

R.I.P. Latino Heat...

"It's not everything to me in life, Jesus Christ is my Saviour and what I live for... But He's blessed me by putting the fire within my heart to wrestle. So every time I get that opportunity, I give my body and life. When I'm wrestling I personally carry the responsibility and challenge in my heart to live or die in the ring. And If I were to die in the wrestling ring - I'd die a happy man."

How my Saturday was spent

Instead of practising BODYATTACK® , I practised BODYSLEEP® and woke up at about 10am. This saturday is my first ever OFF DAY(where I neither go to office nor gym) since I started. Of course, my holidays in Bangkok or Penang are not coutned because I still had to do things- this Saturday was the first that I woke up without any agenda planned.

After cleaning my room and watching The Amazing Race, I drove to gf's place to meet up. After lunch, we played around with the new phones and the software on her laptop and since we had nothing planned, I ended up sleeping again for another hour or so at her place. BOY, I MISS AFTERNOON NAP SO MUCH!!!

By about 5, it was time to plan for dinner. Initially I wanted to go to USJ for this restaurant called Satay Vs. Pizza but considering the price of the food there, I'd figured that we could do something else cheaper. So, since we couldn't join the Fitness First gang up enjoying Penang food, we did the next best thing...

KAJANG SATAY!!!!

The restaurant

Of course, I needed gf's navigation since I know nothing am not familiar with Kajang. She told me of this place with generous portion of satay stick near the Kajang Stadium. After missing a turn, we managed to find our way there eventually.

Satay or Sate?

Sate Haji Samuri apparently is the most famous around with 9 branches, 3 in Kajang. We later found out that there is a branch at Sri Petaling which is SOOOO near gf's place. Oh well, maybe can go more often then?

Quite clean the dining area since the satays are BBQ-ed in another area

We were led to a table by a waitress and she promptly took our orders. They actually serve Mee/Nasi/Kuiw Tiew(that's how it was spelt) but we weren't there for anything by the Satays.

They were pretty generous with the peanut sauce- we were give 1 bowl of it(the normal bowl size you get when you order things like koay teow t'ng). The delivery of satays was relatively fast too.

Gosh... I'm drooling again just looking at the pic!

Big skews + big bowl of peanut sauce = CRESCENDOS OF ECSTASY

gf enjoying her satays...

Perhaps I should change my blog to shadeseats.blogspot.com?

Almost finished the sauce

Words fail to express the experience...

How the weekend was spoiled

Got this sad sms from gf yesterday afternoon:

Why the sms? Because someone sent this to me earlier:

Yeah, forget "The Girl From Ipoh" la hor... To the guy who didn't manage to get the tickets, I HOPE YOU SLEEP WELL TONIGHT.

(note: to that person, I'm just pulling your leg... no hard feelings ya...)

Spring cleaning

Today feeling a bit boh-liao in the office. Whole morning, just surfed the net and read newspaper. After lunch, suddenly felt the need to clean up my table.

There you go...

Knowing myself, this serenity will probably last for a few days before the place turns into a war zone again.

Was so looking forward to watch "The Girl From Ipoh" till I got an SMS from the person who's supposed to buy the tickets that no more tickets liao. Man, I wish I could pull someone's goatee out for spoiling my weekend Oh well, have to look for something else to do.

This Saturday is my first without a class-finally managed to release my RPM class in FF Wisma SPK and guess what I am doing in the morning? I'm going to FF Menara Axis to practise BODYATTACK® 50- it's the only time I have to practise....*sigh*

Pizza joint in Batu Feringghi

Last Friday while in Penang, I wanted to bring gf out to a nice dinner and couldn't think of a cheap an appropriate place to go... till I remember this pizza place in Batu Feringghi. I had not been there for almost 5 years and I wasn't sure if the shop was still around- I didn't even know for sure how to get there. Anyhow, it was worth a try.

Fortunately, I could still find the place right after Holiday Inn. From the main road, just drive till you pass the Batu Feringghi police station and make the first turn on the right. After that, keep driving and you'll see the signboard.

We parked the car and walked to Kompleks Bayusenja. Some renovation has been done since my last visit but yeah, the pizza joint was still there.

Don't think this was here before

Besides the pizza joint, the complex also serves seafood and indian food. It looks like the place caters for the local since I hardly see any foreigner there. Most of the people were there for the seafood- must be pretty good then. Perhaps, next trip I'll take my mom and OCD bro there.

Sorry, dunno the name of the joint

A little Indian girl came to our table and asked if we wanted Indian food. She was so C-U-T-E! We had already planned to order pizzas and I felt kinda bad saying "no, thank you" to her.

If you're early, you can have a breathtaking view of the sunset

Anyway, we waster no time in ordering our food. I went for Malaysia Delights, one of those fusion pizzas, while gf order something with pepperoni(can't remember the name- sound so italian!).

Great expectation

And we were not disappointed

All in all, the food was great and the price reasonable- 2 freshly made large pizzas for about RM35. A good place to hang out with your buddies or to simply impress your gf on how good you are at finding great pizzas in Penang. Wonder why I hadn't thought of this place before...
